Reach the house from Skala Kallirachi's center
Parking
There is no private parking at the house, nor is there any parking in front due to the main road. You can park your car in a public space in the next narrow street, 50 meters away (in the green marked area, the red one is recently marked as private area)…
…and in case there is no free space due to heavy tourist traffic, you can park a little further away, on the previous side road ~100m away (in the area marked in red)…
Arrival/Keys
Since I live and work in Kavala all year round, my good friend Dimitris will be your host during your stay.
Upon your arrival, most of the time, Dimitris will be waiting to welcome you at home.
However, if it happens that your arrival coincides with his working hours, then you will use the black lock box at the entrance of the house to get the keys and enter, and Dimitris will come to meet you as soon as possible.
The lock box password will be given to you on your arrival day
Your first quick swimming
The sea is just 30 meters away. The water is crystal clear, and the seabed is sandy—except for the first 3–4 meters where there are rocks, though a pathway has been cleared. As you’ll see, there is no beach: around 25 years ago, using the excuse of protecting the seaside houses from winter storms, the beautiful pebble beach that once existed was destroyed by placing large rocks and concrete blocks. Promises that it would eventually be restored have proven empty. Still, a morning swim—or one at sunset—is well worth it!
